Spectre

Gain insight into a running system

Spectre is a powerful tool designed to help developers introspect a running system, providing valuable insights during the development of ADAS/AD applications. Whether you're debugging, optimizing, or simply monitoring, Spectre offers a comprehensive suite of features to understand the inner workings of your system.

Usage

Spectre can be utilized in two primary ways:

  • Command line interface (CLI): Spectre operates as a command-line tool on the embedded target. Access it by SSH-ing onto the target system.
  • Introspection API: Integrate Spectre's capabilities directly into your development workflow using its API.

Key Features

Spectre allows you to introspect various aspects, including:

  • System: Created mempools, ports, currently running activities, all possible system states and the current system state.
  • Activities: Static information such as activity ID, type, activation type (time- or data-triggered) and the list of associated ports. Dynamic information such as activation statistics and currently used memory of the process hosting the activity.
  • Ports: Static information such as port ID and type (input / output). Dynamic information such as send or receive rate and timestamps of last sent/received data.
